Measurement Principles

Our turbidity sensors use two primary measurement technologies:

Infrared Light Scattering
Infrared LED light source measures light scattering at 90 degrees. Suitable for most standard applications with turbidity range 0-4000 NTU. Low maintenance, stable performance.

Laser Turbidity Measurement
Laser technology provides higher precision and wider measurement range. Ideal for low turbidity applications and demanding industrial processes. Better sensitivity for subtle changes in water clarity.

Installation Methods

Flow-through Installation
Sensor installed in flow cell with continuous sample flow. Best for clean to moderate turbidity water.

Submersible Installation

Mounted in open channel with wiper cleaning system. For continuous monitoring in sewage channels.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning of the optical window ensures accurate measurements. Cleaning frequency depends on water quality – weekly for clean water, daily for wastewater. Wiper-equipped models reduce maintenance requirements significantly.
